the mars light on 261 in forward movement?

1.5 has a complete lighting menu. You can access it by holding down the AUX2 button for a second or 2. The menu will contain all Legacy lighting options available.
This is the important part. IF YOU ENGINE DOES NOT HAVE A PARTICULAR LIGHTING FEATURE, THE ICON WILL NOT DO ANYTHING.
But yes the menu does contain the on/off for the Mars light.
Thankyou that is good news. what is the phone number of lionel service dept so I can order the modules for 1.5
Ironlake, just wanted to note that you do not need 1.5 to turn the marrs light on the S3 off. Can be done with just the LSU as well.
Regarding Lionel's phone number. It is available on Lionel's website.
Just get the LSU and a black module. It's easy

Black module is not even needed if your just editing your base.
Ironlake , I believe, was one who rather have Lionel make him a module. But be warned, it sounds like 1.5 maybe the last version available on a module.
Lionel's Phone: 586-949-4100 Probably should wait til Tuesday when everybody gets settled in from York.
1.5 does make tmcc engines run smoother ...There not as jumpy .. I love how you can make the ditch lights solid instead of blinking(in the aux 2 menu). If you hold the aux2 button down it shuts the blinking lights off on a ge evo.. Front headlight too. Its neat if you want them off..

I'd just buy the black module, they're very easy to use and you'll never have to buy another module for updates. Buying the 1.5 blue modules is a dead-end street, once you use them, they're just an expensive trinket. The black module is reusable as many times as you like, and you can use it for other things like multi-engine modules, etc.
There will be no MAC version per Jon Z so either enter the info manually or use the IR track. Dare I say use the windows emulation software but already got chastised for even suggesting that.
Forrest, at this time the Mac version is a dead end due to hardware issues.

I'm surprised it's hardware issues since you can run on the Mac using emulation. I'd think it would be software issues...
I believe it actually is a software issue. JonZ said that the port driver lacked the proper flow control that is necessry for LSU to communicate correctly to the base. I think that's what makes it a non-starter for Lionel.
I'm not a Mac person but I guess the Windows driver works correctly when virtualized on a MAC.
I believe Chris' explanation is right
