Hi Just joined your group. The above locomotives set indicate they have both whistle horn and bell functions, however I’m using a TechII MRC AH 100 transformer which has only a whistle switch, when I use this it only rings the bell. In order to try to get the horn to work I purchased a Lionel 5904-1 whistle/horn/bell from Trainz.com this also failed to solve the problem…

Swap/reverse the two wires going from the transformer to the track. Then you will get a whistle and not a bell.
Or, reverse the connections to/from the external switch.
Whistle needs a DC offset in one direction and bell needs a DC offset in the other direction. You have the internal button and the external switch both hooked up the same way. Swap the wires on one of them, but not both.
