I recently purchased a NOS, I guess you could say, PRR E7 set and the one shell has a pretty nice crack in the nose.  It was a private sale and I don't blame the seller because they were unopened.  But I'd like to repair the shell.  Is there a vendor out there that can help me with the graphics? - striping and engine numbers?  I checked with Bachmann and they don't have any Pennsy shells.  I guess I could wait for the next batch to be reproduced and see if I can score a replacement shell then, but I just don't know when that will be, if ever.

Thanks in advance for any helpful suggestions.

A photo or 2 would be helpful; some cracks are so small that applying some plastic cement from the inside and rubber-banding the shell together for a couple of hours can do the job, and paint can be touched up with Hobby Lobby acrylics.

Regardless, try eBay for a new shell - or complete loco; prices can vary, and it may be worth it. The cracked shell or loco could become your or someone's project piece.

As I understand, Williams E-7's had a batch in the past that was a bit too narrow for the frame, or vice-versa, and the assemblers forced the issue, the constant stress of which caused cracking over time.
