Yesterday, I unpacked the Williams Lackawanna Train Master powered/dummy set that I bought at least 20 years ago, which is about the last time I ran it. I bought it back them because the Lionel was just too expensive at that time. I remember when Lionel released it in 1954, I think. I always wanted one as a kid but my father would not buy it for me. Too expensive he said. I am really amazed at how smooth and quiet the Williams unit runs, with a very low current draw. And the paint work is superb. Looks just like the old Lionel model. What is interesting in that the boxes say the parts were made in the USA and the units were painted and assembled in China.
FROM THE WEBMASTER:
Edited the name of the locomotive to "Train Master." Two words, both capitalized. That is the proper name for this Fairbanks Morse H24-66 diesel.
