I just picked up an older Williams FP45 AA set with True-Sounds. While the sound is great, it is too loud. I took the shell off the dummy and didn't see a pot or anything else with which to control the volume. Hope others will weigh in. Kevin

Pretty sure that's it GRJ.  Looks alot like the board mounted volume control on my WBB gp units.

Tagging onto this thread, I don’t see a control like that on my older (late 80s?) Williams board. This is an FP45 and the Williams model number is FP12 on the dummy.

Ha, I actually did look at that and tried to turn it with my finger but nothing happened. Now I see you have to insert a screwdriver from the side to make the adjustment. Thank you for your help! Kevin 

That kind of pot has been around for ages, but so have I.  Gosh, I graduated with my electronics degree 44 years ago.  I can see why you didn't notice them Joe and Kevin.  I don't see them on Lionel or MTH products.

I looked for my glasses for an hour the other day.
