I am trying to wire a 445 switch tower to operate with an insulated track section. This was operating in this manner a number of years ago on a previous layout, but is not operating now. I am curious if my wiring is the problem, or if I have a bad coil. I am referencing an old Greenberg repair and operating manual. My power (hot) is being applied to terminal 1 on the wiring diagram, terminal3 is to a fixed ground, and terminal 2 is connected to the insulated rail. When power is applied the light comes on but when a train enters the insulated section the light goes out and the coil doesn't seem to energize. Train exits the insulated section and light comes back on. Any suggestions?
