Reading Barry's book I think it says to use a CAT5 hook up you should set the WIU to MTH, hook the CAT5 into the WIU and power it up.  If I'm wrong, then this is where my problem is.  The WIFI, LAN, PWR and TIU light turn on, but pad, which is on the same home network says No WIU/TIUs Found.  If I open the browser and enter the WIU ip address, I can access the WIU so I think I've proven that I'm on the same network.

I can be working the with creating a lashup, when suddenly, the same warning pops up.

I've replaced the USB cable.  I think I have the latest firmware according to the DCS website.  I have a Rev L TIU.  I'm lost and frustrated!

Any suggestions?

That's correct, and, since the TIU LED is also lit, you must also have correctly connected the WIU to the TIU.

Next, make sure that the tablet is on the same network as the WIU and, after the LEDs on the WIU are stable for a minute or so, tap the Refresh button at the top left of the Engine Control Screen.

Next, to check that the app its the latest version and that the app is set for WIUs and not DCS Explorers. Navigate to the More... Screen and tap on App Settings. Confirm that the WIU box is checked and that the software version is 3.1.0.

Most important, you must have DCS 6.1 in the TIU and firmware 1.1 in the WIU.

If all of the above is correct and you're still having issues, you can reset the app and also the WIU.

If you create a lashup in the remote control, will that lashup be transferred to the pad when I "refresh" it?

Unfortunately, not automatically.

Just as with individual remotes, lashups must be created in each device where they will be used. That's the same for occurrences of the DCS App in different smartphones and tablets.

However, by using the DCS App's ability to import its contents from a DCS Remote Clone file or another DCS App's export file, lashups, along with the rest of the contents of a DCS Remote or a DCS App, may be imported into another DCS App.

This and a whole lot more about DCS WiFi is all in MTH’s “The DCS WiFi Companion 2nd Edition!"

This book is available from many fine OGR advertisers and forum sponsors, or as an eBook or a printed book at MTH's web store!
