Thanks - that's great isn't it? Not many ads are that entertaining.
Great video
Awesome! Another fine job by NS!
It might even help sell some train sets if it runs long enough into the fall.
Don: Great new commercial! haven't seen it around here even though we're in NS territory. One question, though: Where's the middle rail???
Bet you would have enjoyed doing these spots when you were still in the business, right?

Check out all the heritage unit logos on the toy chest! Awesome!
I loved the fallen flags stickers on the toy box.
2-Rail O Scale to boot!

That was not a cheap spot to produce. I'd love to know their budget. I bet it's almost Allan's weekly pay. Plus tips of course. Don
Don great video really enjoyed it. You always find these great video's
Thanks, Alex
Don I hope that you are putting in the proper hours per day on your layout because I'm sure I can speak for the guys on the forum we can't wait to see some expert modeling and scenery and a master piece of a layout just like your old one. Just wanting to make sure. LOL LOL
Why was there a camera man in my bedroom? And why was that kid wearing my hat?
Chris, those were my thoughts, too.

Allan's weekly pay times the remainder of this lifetime and at least one more lifetime.
Definitely not a cheap spot for NS to produce, and the creativity displayed is first rate (something not often seen these days).
Alex, I'm loosing my tan, our kayak is sitting in the side yard, our Lab is ready to attack me because she wants to go in the ocean and what am I doing? Sitting in the kitchen building a new single stall engine house for the layout. At least I can see out and know what it was like to be outside. Don
Now that's coming out beautiful, Now I know your putting in the hours.LOL
Thanks, Alex
I think they borrowed a little bit from one of my favorite movies, "Close Encounters of the Third Kind". The beginning of the movie with the little boy and his toys. Never the less a wonderful spot, good for NS. Don
My goodness, what a wonderful spot. I was really hoping it was one of our big 3.
Wonder if NS would be willing to joint run that ad w/ ______ during Christmas time?
Nah. That would take some Vision and a professional marketing division!
Very nice NS, what a great marketing company. Dang shame they used 2 rail, must be a MTH engine, WHATSA MATER WIT THREE RAIL!
How in the world does Allan get tips, does he park cars at TGIF at York ?
It reminds us all that when we were little boys we had BIG dreams. I heard someone once say "Don't let anyone steal your dreams" oh how true.
Thanks again Don for sharing this and just maybe someone will rekindle their BIG dream.
Sweet dreams everyone and good night.
Pretty cool!!! Some thought put into it too......down to the 2 rail O.
Day = Made
Bravo NS!
Andy
I thought I was watching a promo for a new Disney movie! I was waiting for Woodie and Buz Lightyear to show up. Amazing comercial! What impresses me is the attarction that the spot will have to youngsters in general. It appears to me anyway that they are targetig children at least the visual portion.
Well done!
Definitely, shades of Pixar!
Cool. But our Jack Russells never stand/lay quietly aside like that when our Christmas trains on the floor are running!
Dang shame they used 2 rail, must be a MTH engine, WHATSA MATER WIT THREE RAIL!
The commercial sells NS, not toy trains.

Looked more like something akin to "Toy Story" to me, but it definitely is the most creative, beautifully done, and eye-catching train commercial I have ever seen. Norfolk Southern appears to be pulling out all stops to draw some much-needed attention to the rail industry, and they are doing one superb job of it.
That was a great ad. Based on the size of the boy's hands relative to the trains it definitely looked like O Scale.
Truly Fabulous.
You MUST watch this behind-the-scenes and how-it-was-done segment:
Thanks Alan!! That was as cool as the commercial itself.
That's nice.
Makes me proud to work for the Norfolk Southern .
Just wish it was that fun
That was a fun commercial!
I don't think it matters if it was two rail, I bet it sells some O gauge sets!
Jim
Great ad! Kind of has a Toy Story or Polar Express-effect to it. Fantastic! I bet the engine is Atlas O, judging by the detail and that MTH hasn't made a GP60, IIRC.
That was really cool!!! Has anyone seen it running on TV yet or is it scheduled for later? It would really be great if they ran it during the Christmas season, bet it would help sell some trains.
Jerry
Why can't my BEDROOM be that cool. Killian

POW/MIA YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN
But your TRAINS are much better.
That's a wonderful ad. The dino moving the containers is the best.
