Following the Standard Gauge passenger set I made in wood (see this thread), I went back to the shop and put together some freight cars for "Woody" to pull.  I named them after the 5 freight cars in Girard's little "Joy Line" set from the 1930's: Venice Gondola, Everful Tank Car, Contractor Dump Car, Hobo Rest Boxcar, and Eagle Eye Caboose.

As with the passenger set, these are made of various hardwoods finished with old fashioned spar varnish, and they run on CMT Standard Gauge trucks.

Nothing short of fantastic Hojak!

Just thinking out loud here, right before the WWll....when Lionel quit making trains because of the steel shortage? I do believe Joshua Lionel Cowen would have liked to have you around! Even as I say that I realize the factories were also tied up in War production though...
