Woodland riser system question. | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I am wanting to use the Woodland Scenic's riser system for my new layout. I'm using Atlas 3 rail. My concern is this: in using Atlas Flex Track, which is rather rigid, after applying two sheets of plaster cloth over the riser and then the cork roadbed is this substructure strong enough to bend and screw the flex track into place where it will hold fast? If not, would adding more plaster cloth work?

I would add solid wood blocks to the roadbed to secure the track.

Use the riser as a guide to shaping the wood blocks.

Secure the blocks with screws to the framework.

Atlas flex track is very stiff and solid and needs solid help to keep a curve.

Otherwise use the Atlas O sectional track for the risers.
