In the last couple of years Lionel has put out boxcars for MLB teams including ones that commemorated the 2014 and 2015 World Series champions. Will Lionel keep making more World Series themed boxcars, because I am a Chicago Cubs fan and I would love to get my hands a boxcar if they decided to put one out.

And if the CTA puts some nice graphics on the EL cars celebrating the Cubs' World Series victory like they did for the White Sox it would be great to have MTH make a set of them. I remember MTH making the White Sox World Series edition CTA cars and they looked real good.
Definitely would be a good seller... both a boxcar AND a set of EL cars.
CTA has just released some specially-wrapped cars that are operating on the Red Line this week. It'd be great if MTH did these! I don't buy much MTH motive power but if they did this I'd probably get it.
Maybe not. If they were to be offered, I think that would have been done a day or two after the game.
The CUBS were bought a few years ago for around 800Million. I heard after winning the WS they are now worth 2.5 Billion with a B!!!! Wonder if they will get a cut if Lionel makes a car?
I asked a Lionel dealer if Lionel would be producing a World Series Box Car for the Cubs. I was told the agreement between Lionel and MLB has expired and will not be renewed.
I understand that Ives did a Cubs World Series commemorative boxcar for the 1908 World Series victory. Ives has no plans to do another.
Bob
MTH did some Cubs CTA cars back in 2005.

Lionel did a Cubs passenger set a few years ago with a baby Berkshire, they can still be found NIB.

In my opinion, I live in Northeast Ohio, so I'm an Indians fan. But also glad to the Cubs Won. So why doesn't Lionel make a boxcar that commemorates both teams that haven't won a world series in a very long time in 1 Boxcar. But also make one for the Cubs winning the World Series. 1909 / 2016 & 1948 should be the road numbers they choose. I just thought it's an idea.
