I would like opinions on this set. I am a huge fan of the promotional sets. I have the Sears set from last year and I love the book from John Schmid.But I know the new ALCO's have some pulling problems. So any input would be great before I pull the trigger! I does look nice though...

Agreed. I've been waiting to see some pics and a review of this set. I'm pretty sure a handful of forumites mentioned that they ordered this one.
I just received the UP Alco Anniversary Set and came close to also pre-ordering the Navy Set at the same time, but decided to hold off.
I have had no issues with my CC alco. They take a little time to warm up, just like the old ones, but that's the attraction. The "on demand" digital horn is a nice feature. What are you trying to pull with it? My set has four loaded flats, the caboose, and the dummy unit. If you want to haul a 16 car consist get the williams copies.
