York train shows, never been to one

Anyone know if Alexander's has 're-booted' or morphed into a new eatery?....that's been tried?....that can be recommended?....or not?

It was so convenient.....and for most of its existence quite a tasty experience.   We would celebrate our York arrival after the 600-mile drive from Michigan with a visit to Alexander's.  Really have missed it for the last couple years.

It is supposed to be open by next spring as a Pizza type restaurant.  It will not be ready for  this York.

I just got back to NC after our trip to York.....I was blown away...that was quite a site to see!.....thanks to all who gave tips and advice, it was surely put to good use! I got to meet a couple of the forum guys, so that was pretty cool. The round the clock diner was really a good place to eat...I had a blast! My wife now has begun collecting Dept. 56 stuff, so now she enjoys the time spent together.....had such a good time, now I'm sorry its over and got to go back work.......Thanks again for everyone's help.....I'm already planning for April!

Made my first trip there this weekend as well. Just mind boggling. Already registered for spring. Hopefully, my back will be in a better mood.

my back was screaming at me too Chris, advil and taking short breaks on the benches made it a little easier, I was almost in tears by the time I reached jeff the train tender, he was running around like a maniac so I sat in his chair for a good bit .....I spent bunch a money with him so he didn't mind.....he never stood still!
