Keep your fingers crossed, the weather is looking good all week. Partly cloudy and temp in the high 60's to low 70's.

A little far out for the weather guessers to have any kind of real forecast.
Well put John. Always bring a garbage bag to York in the event it does rain so your trains do not get wet from the hall to the car.
Please make sure Eddie G packs his mittens. There will be light snow on Thursday.
Wouldn't be York to me without a raging rainstorm.
I'm going to pack a couple of plastic bags. I hope for good weather and plan for lousy weather.
This will be York 67 for me. I have seen temps very hot and very cold. Rain can be had in April and October. I remember about 25 years ago driving home and playing tag on rt 84 with a huge snowstorm. On the real side, I do not care what it does as long as we are with great friends and great trains.
Just so it doesn't rain on the hot dog cook-out.
I would never have known in a million years what the weather would be like if it wasn't for Eddie.
Just checked the forecast @ 9:15 am 10/9, on Thursday the 17th, sunny 65 with 0 chance of rain, Friday the 18th, sunny 66 with 0 chance of rain. Saturday is not up yet. So it will most likely rain or snow.

Not looking good for York at this point. Looks like it might be dry for my drive home on Saturday.

It's still a tad early, but I do know that we (in Northeast Ohio) are supposed to see rain early in the week and what we get here usually tends to work its way eastward into Pennsylvania. Those going to York would at least be well advised to be prepared for rain at some point even if it does not materialize.
Latest weather from Fox 43 in York.
I'm predicting we won't see any actual rain in York and almost 100%chance of dry weather inside all the halls.
I love teasing about the weather at each York meet (mostly 'cause it's fun ribbing Eddie G a bit), but it really doesn't matter much what the weather is because just about the entire event--aside from the OGR Forum Meeting in the grandstand--is inside. Take along a few big trash bags to haul your stash to the car, and equip yourself with an umbrella or decent rain gear, and you're good to go for many hours of fun.
Driving to or from York in foul weather is not a whole lot of fun, but you have the anticipation of fun times ahead to keep you cheered-up while you're heading there, and big smiles to carry you along the route home. Doesn't get much better than that!

You say that in jest, but one year when Lionel rented the old Gold hall to do seminars, we found out that the roof did in fact leak a bit.
A few seats ended up off limits due to drips from above.

That's why I said almost 100% chance of dry weather inside the halls.
We are at the "pick the forecast you like best" stage. For Thursday, some say "chance of rain". I like the "mostly sunny, mid-60s" ones...namely for the Kosher hot dog event in the parking lot.

Updated weather from Fox 43 in Yoek, Pa.
Looking better each day!

It's always sunny at York! Those little trains brighten my day!
Updated weather from Fox 43 in York. Better have your bumper shute for the late afternoon.
As of this post, The Weather Channel is predicting a 50% chance of PM showers on Thursday and a bright and sunny 0% chance Friday.
I'm going to look out the window when I get there to check the weather, it's changed so many times in the last couple of days I'm getting dizzy!
Smart thing to do when it comes to York is pack an umbrella, take some garbage bags to get items back to car, and take at least two different types of jackets, one light and one a bit more substantial! Also, At least one sweatshirt!
Better have a bumper shute ready for late afternoon.
Have fun boyz, I will.
From Fox 43 in York.
The ACTUAL weather was cloudy and 75 with a short shower 4:30-5:30 Thursday. Today, Friday, was sunny and mid 60s.
It was a big chilly for the OGR grandstand meeting, I'm glad I decided to go to the car and get a sweatshirt. Many folks in T-shirts were pretty cold!
Yes, no matter how sunny or warm it is, it's always chilly in the grandstands. It has its own microclimate in April and October. Wore shorts one time to the OGR meeting when I thought it was warm. Never did that again! Long pants and jacket required!
For the first time in I don't know how many years I wore cargo shorts all week.
