Just ONE STEP back from where he was and he's dead.
It wasn't his time yet.
And then there was the recent safety conference with a presenter and an easel inside the yellow safety stripe on a hi-level platform. They almost got hit when a train whizzed by.
I can't understand how some people can be so oblivious to trains.
and none of the cars sitting at the crossing stopped
to see if he was OK.
Reminds me of a story I heard many years ago about a woman who backed into a spinning propeller at the airport. Disaster!!!
Never underestimate the stupidity of the human race.
I know those of us who are "into trains" are hyper-aware of the dangers they present to people and vehicles, but I never cease to be surprised by people's willingness to pit flesh against an unstoppable metal object.
There's a reason there's a horn, gate, bell, and flashing lights... if these things could readily stop, there would just be a yield sign.

That's nothing!...I once heard of a butcher backing into a meat grinder and got a little behind in his work!

Ooooo! That is bad. I'll remember that one.
To many people on this earth have no idea how powerful
a train can be. Until it is to late.
Many thanks,

Both people in the videos above just barely escaped getting killed. I noticed that the kid had ear phones in both ears. I hope that his music was worth not hearing the train.
I am surprised that no one in the cars stopped to help the old man hit by the train. I hope that I would have have had more compassion in this situation.

Nicole,
That guy could not see a darn thing with that black dot on his head. It is not his fault it is the dot.

Those from Washington can also fall into the category.
pennsyk4-Charlie, don't fall asleep. I didn't bring any Brio or Thomas toys this time to keep your attention.
What would have been worse is if he got hit by the car when he got up! Now that is a truley bad day.

Never underestimate the stupidity of politicians.
