My Z-4000 handles are too tight and they squeak when moved. How do I adjust and lubricate them? Thanks

Flip the transformer upside down. Below each handle there's a screw for adjustment of the tension. Remove the screw after loosing it all the way (a needle nose pliers works). There's a nylon tip with a spring on the end of these screws. Put a small dab of grease (I use gear box grease) on the end and reinstall and adjust to your liking. Easy peazy
My version has a set screw and I removed it and put grease in and reinserted the set screw. The handles move better but still squeak like ****. Any ideas?
Did you remove the spring with the nylon tip on it too?
No spring or nylon tip came out. Do you have to extract it?
Yes you do. I should have mentioned that you might need a pick or hook to remove it.
