Advice needed. I'm connecting my DZ-2502 button remote to my DZ-2500 switch machine.

If the switch is green and I push the button the switch throws perfectly and the lights on both devices turn red.

But when pushing the remote button to switch back to green nothing happens. I can use the mechanism to throw back green, but not the remote push button.

Red wires to power. Black to common. White to white.

When the switch is in the green position both red and green lights on the remote button are flickering on.

My first thought is to make sure the black wire of the DZ2500 and the black wire of the DZ2502 controller are connected to the same common.

If correct, would try a different DZ2502 controller (if you have one) to see if the DZ2502 is defective.

If swapping DZ2502s shows same problem, probably DZ2500 problem.

Same common connection.

Tried multiple DZ2502's, and tried multiple switches/DZ2500's.  Same result.

Your LEDs are not in correctly.  You have to check them closely.  I have this problem on EVERY one of my DZ push button controllers - the RED LED is in backwards.  The flat side (barely discernable) of the LED should match the flat side of the hole in the pushbutton controller.  If not the red, check your green.  If not on the PB, check your switch machine.  But like i said, ALL of my controllers have the red LED incorrectly inserted...drove me nuts for a few hours. Incorrectly connected LEDs cause the very problem you are describing as the LED is part of the controlling circuit.  You can remove them with a good pair of needle nose pliers but work over a catch all cloth - the durned things are hard to find on the floor and tend to travel long distances from wherever youre working !!

I can't wait to get home and check this! I'll let you know what I find

Ugh how frustrating is it when you have to wait to get home LOL !!  I should note too that you have to remove the LED from the controller to see the flat side - if youre not familiar with them see the attached pic and the "flat spot" label at the cathode. The cathode wire being shorter is also an indicator of the correct polarity but i found the DZ wires to be the same length or barely could tell the difference. Hope it works!
