David, is there a schematic of this layout available somewhere? This is one of 3 layouts I'm considering adapting to my current 6x11 table (eventually 11x11). That red center cab switcher is the same as or similar to my first train in the 50s.

Michael R., I love the look of your layout  The shade of green, the painted blue water and the look of the mountain/tunnel, and the plasticville buildings really capture the prewar/postwar look.

My thanks also for starting this thread. Much as I love the great scale layouts, I know I will stay "post-war toy" in overall theme. Layout still in progress now, and waiting for modules to be re-inserted after Holiday Trackers show, so here's a past view of the 1980's Dallas (PA) Penn Station Layout that gave me so much pleasure.

Thank you, that's exactly the look I am going for. I truly enjoy it, and the best part is that it can be done on a College budget.
