Is a banana jack the same thing as a "barrel jack"?
Thaks for any info!

The industry Standard bananna plugs have their male pins spaced 0.75 inches apart. These plugs are available at Radio Shack, Digikey, Mouser and any good electronics store. A barrel jack is generally considered the female connector like used to charge batteries in a PS1 engine or the connector on the side of the DCS TIU box. Unlike the bananna plug/jack, barrel jacks/plugs come with different inside diameters and center pin widths, thus no standard one size fits all.
The MTH terminal posts are "standard" 5-way binding posts in which one of the ways of mating to it is via a standard banana plug. The standard size is 4.0 to 4.2 mm diameter. (There is also a "mini-banana" plug that is 2 mm.)

Pomona Electronics web site is a good source of data for these connectors, as they make most of the banana plug test cables that I use frequently at work. All of the big distributors (Allied, Newark, Mouser, Digi-Key, etc.) have these connectors available and you can usually find them at Radio Shack or Fry's as well.
Rockyroad,
There are many different standard banana Plugs from different companies,
the ones I like the very best are from Raido Shack although they are not cheap they work very very well for a long long time. They are in the picture below.

Long ago I showed how to up grade a ZW or KW transformer by installing female Banana couplings for operating the DCS, this was one of the beginning pictures.

The end result with all the Banana plugs on the equipment looks like this
