Ah geez, that is sooooo cool a project.  I love it.

I have the Vision CC2 0-8-8-0, but I gotta do one of these, too.   Brilliant idea!

I can't tell exactly which 0-8-0 you are using here  Is it the Legacy model or a conventional RTR type?  Regardless, do you plan to run the two motors in parallel or wire them in series?  I think either could be made to work well enough, but I can think of differences and why a person might do it either way

Lee,

I used two Lionel 0-8-0 conventional RTR locomotives. Pennsylvania #565's from the 6-30174 Pennsylvania Flyer set.

She's under full power in the video. Motors are wired in parallel.

These 0-8-0's aren't all that fast, so parallel gives plenty of low-speed grunt and a good speed range.

EDIT: I just looked up the Vision CC2. Looks like my little kitbash project is more historically accurate than I realized!

The only two 0-8-8-0's I'd encountered before this were some camelback thing, and the NYC NW-1. Since the CC2 is a Pennsylvania, I won't even have to repaint the tenders!
