I just finished installing the 15, 022 switch directional signs I worked on for the past 2 weeks.
I was unable to see the old hoods and make sense of the direction of the turnouts. With the help of an assembly jig I created,  I used some leftover 1/2” red pex,  some pieces of Azec composite material, 4 different color led bulbs, paint, hot glue and stick-on letters and numbers from my local hobby shop to fabricate the signage. It all works like it should and it has made the layout more user friendly.
The red, green and grounds are wired directly to the switches posts, the yellow bulbs and the white bulbs ( inside the pex tube to give it a red glow) run on constant power from my auxiliary circuit.
The next phase of my wiring project are the UCS tracks. I’ve been combing the forum looking at similar ideas that other members have accomplished that coincided with what I’m thinking. I’d like to have a constant power source (from my constant voltage circuit that powers my switches) to the track for operation purposes only, on a spur that is in a block that is powered off. Not sure if this is a possibility? I have 5 UCS tracks and I am making a custom panel with 5 separate DPDT momentary on-off-on 6pin, 5amp switches.
