Hi All

As you may recall I am in the process of building my Lionel O gauge layout.  Most of my trains are 60+ years old and for many of them this is the first time they have been out of their boxes in that time.  Which brings m to my switches.

I have been researching the best way to clean the switches and it seems that Scotch Brite pads do the job on the surface but not in the bowels of the switches.  I have found a product called Evapo Rust by CRC but there are more than a couple of variations which sound as if they would do the job.  So I was wondering if there were any recommendations for the type to use or even if there is something better.

Also, I intended to use white lithium grease on the some of the "hidden" sliding parts.  I noticed there is a spray lithium grease; not available 60 years ago.  Any recommendations?

Thanks again for all of the support.
