That blue/yellow color combination looks great, on both the building and the hopper. Very unique! Well done!
Impressive indeed! Does "Each hopper car is uniquely numbered - No two are alike!" mean just within the six-pack, or if I ordered a dozen (i.e., two six-packs), would all twelve cars have different numbers?
What, me worry?
Mark,
Fantastic. Just what I wanted, both building and hopper. Love the look of both of them. Gotta have at least two hoppers.
Seems like the building will fit between my two upper tracks. I will order them asap.
Q: Is this a new power adapter? Have the over-voltages been rectified? Will the signs be safe with these adapters?
Jerry
Great product roll-out, Mark. You and Menards have really upped your game with these announcements. In addition to great photos and feature descriptions, adding videos and footprint dimensions certainly make the "buy" decision easier.
So glad I was sitting down for this announcement. Definitely a grand slam. I was so excited I had to redo the order I was shaking. I just love it when a company making trains thinks outside the box. As Cabinet Bob said Menardsville is getting bigger and may require an additional power station to handle the increased electric consumption LOL. I know Mike G was hoping for a brewery ( so was I ) but all I just did was put away the reefers and got out the hoppers. Great Job Mark, Menards and the one and only Cabinet Bob LOL.................Paul
My order is placed, great job again!!!!!!
Absolutely love the building and the hopper car that goes with it, hate the Midwest and Ohio 11% rebate! LOL Waiting for the next free offer, but then ordering a bunch! Bob, the meetings aren't working! I think I need the medication!
Very nice!
IF I find space to put it on my layout, I will order it - my eighth Menard's building.
Alex
Nice!

Just call me a drop out.....
Very nice structure and car. Well done.
Mark,
Now I know how my layout will generate something productive to feed my Water Softener .

This is a must have! Nice job Menards!
Ordered one already with a hopper.
Mark,
My doctor told me to limit my salt intake, now I have to find another doctor.
Well another conundrum here again, where do I put it? Something has to go. I will need another spur, warehouse, trucks, and a parking lot for employees cars. Dang it Mark you are a trouble maker. I will need a distribution warehouse to keep all those little salt shakers in. OK theres no way around it, I will need to take out another wall.
Thanks a lot Mark! You are a real salt of the earth Mark.
I will need to build a bakery to make the salty Philly soft pretzels also.
It is going to take a double dose of my meds tonight.

Alfred,
Every Morton Salt car produced has a unique number. Whether you buy 12 or 24 cars, there will be no repeating numbers.

Got mine today. WOW what a nice looking structure. Hope its put together as well as the one in the photo. Thanks mark cant wait to see it in person.
Not to high jack this thread, because I love this building and ordered one. But I sure would like to see photos of this structure weathered. Looks like the weathering would have to be white this time, correct ???
I really like this building! When can we expect the HO version?
Also waiting on the HO version of the Red Owl grocery store.

Order has been placed...
2nd Menards building for me...wanted to add the 4 NH box car set but not available on line... my loss
Bill
Great job there Mark, Nice building! It sure is going to take a lot of beer to use up the salt supply!
Am I understanding this correctly that if I order two individual hopper cars they will have different numbers or is it just the multipacks that have different numbers?
I already placed my order but may place a second order.
Very nice.
Hey Mark on this one ( yes I know you would have to raise the price some ) but you should of included one mortan salt hopper with it.
Great looking. Structure. It really "POPS" when lit up.
Thanks Menard's. Wish our club had room for this one.
Mine is on the way along with six hoppers (and a few die cast vehicles) ! Another imposing structure done beautifully. The details and lighting looks fabulous.
Ordered the building 2 hoppers and a power adaptor. Now just have to find a place to put this fine looking building.
UNBELIEVABLE!!! That building rocks!
Very nice building, but ****, please come out with a coaling tower/building along these same lines...............
It ain't Morton Salt without the Morton Salt GIRL graphic! NICE WORK, Menard's. :-)
Very cool building! I had to have one, so I just ordered one. Not sure where I can put it on my current layout, but on my next layout, it will have a home!
I assume the base comes off? It would be easier than ripping up rails on an established track.

Thanks for your order, Bill!
As far as the New Haven boxcars go, there are only 13 left total. If you're interested at all, I'd buy some before they are gone. As you mentioned, we are already out of 4 piece sets.

VistaDomeScott,
Every Morton Salt car produced has a unique number. We think it's pretty cool!

Headed down to my local Menards with a hand full of rebates and ordered my Morton Salt Factory. Scored it for $40. out of pocket. than got and additional 11% rebate on top of that
11% rebate

DMASSO,
In this case, the base is fully landscaped and completely attached.
The portion of the base under the tunnel can be cut if desired. I suspect a hand saw or reciprocating saw would do the job. There aren't any electrical components in the base to worry about cutting.

Menards posted:It’s just another day at the salt mine!
The engineers at the Morton® salt mine are working hard to make sure the factory is running at full capacity as they don blaze orange safety vests and hard hats. After all, on-the-job safety is job one!
Much of the work goes on below ground in the mine and out of view. In our little world, the salt is mined underground and conveyed to the salt factory. It is processed and loaded on hopper cars to be shipped to highway departments (in northern climates), water softener dealers, potato chip manufacturers and so forth.

Menards is doing a wonderful job. I think they are the best value in O gauge right now. Their products are of equal or greater production quality than the industry giants, the price points are market leading, and their marketing strategy is fun and engaging. The Menards weekly release is the most interesting thing going among all the different vendors
This building with the built-in LED sign is amazing. I hope many other buildings with LED signs are in the works
Menards finally got me to bite on such a classic Chicago company. Anxiously awaiting a factory and hopper six pack.
LOL, Menards creates 4,5,6 pages of buzz on a weekly/biweekly basis WBB comes out with a new catalog once a year 1,2 pages at most and gone. Not a complaint just a fact!
