I have had this engine for a while and thought it would be good to make a quick video about it.  I miss the PWC series as I think Lionel did a good job on these.  I hope they resurrect some of the tooling for LC+2.0.  Red 5 Standing by...

Great video ! I say that because it was one of the few videos that I didn’t hit the fast forward 10 seconds button 20 times !

Quick question…I have that locomotive as well as the PWC Northern Pacific version. I also bought for a great price in the Orange hall a PWC Northern Pacific set that I’m embarrassed to say is still in the sealed factory wrapper.

it says it has “legacy” what is the difference between that locomotive and the plain NP PWC locomotive ? If any?

I find that early PWC Pulmore stuff bulletproof !

Hi Marty, The PWC are a nice blend of old school Pullmor motors with the smell of ozone and modern electronics.  I also think that the people in the 2400 series cars had way more fun in the 1950s when those cars came out.  Not sure what is being said in the third window from the left.  I think those two people are probably getting married on your layout right now.

Thanks for posting the video!

Dave

I think the big difference was the sound package.  It had the quilling horn and some of the other Legacy sound functionality.  There might have been some improvement on the motor control but I can't be sure.  My friend had this set and I remember running it.  It was a nice set.  I think this is it.

#1623W NORTHERN PACIFIC LEGACY GP9 FREIGHT SET (LOCO #2349)
SKU: 6-38328

Thanks for the comments on the video.  Like everyone, some are better than others.  I try to keep 'em short though and pack them with some information and the engine running.

Thanks Dave

I was looking at those folks and there is definitely more to the imagination than having actual figures.

Thanks for watching!

Very nice review MARTYE!!!!  A something about these older TMCC with Pullmore motors that is cool.  Like the colors of this too.  Now dispatch those PESKY ALIENS!!! ROCK ON!!!

Much like the common cold killed the Martians, I think the ozone chased away those pesky aliens.  Thanks!

Enjoyed the video. I've got a very similar set although it's not the PWC version. Mine is the Conventional Classics issue. Same Burlington GP7 with the four passenger cars.

Agreed. Would love to see something along the lines of a PWC/Conventional Classics re-issue in the next catalog. Hoping.

The Conventional Classic set, as mentioned in the video, inspired me to seek out the PWC Burlington.  Since I had the cars I wanted the engine once I realized what pulled them.  It's a really nice set.

Thanks for watching.
