Vision GS-4 Dynamo smoke fill question | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I bought one of the new Vision GS-4 locos with the dynamo smoke effect (sku 2031520). The picture below is of the hatch where the smoke fill is done for the dynamo feature. The Lionel owners manual says to add fluid in the hole closest to the top of the picture. Can someone confirm that is the correct hole to use as opposed to the hole closer to the bottom of the picture? The top hole looked kind of shallow to me and I just want to make sure I wasn't dropping smoke fluid in the wrong place. Thanks for your help.

Bill I have the same GS4 and looking at your picture you should put the smoke fluid in the lower opening with the pipe that leads to the dynamo's on the locomotive. Just take a closer look and you'll see that the hole closest to the side of the locomotive is where the fans is, Hope this helps you.

The top hole is the fan, DON'T put smoke fluid in there!
