I have recently acquired a 1987 Milwaukee road GP-9, 6-18500. 1) problem it only goes in reverse, looks to be like a new e-unit, just buzzes when it should go forward. 2) it has rail sound but it doesn't work. someone has repaired this engine because there are 2 small wire nuts connecting the wires. 3) when I try to research this engine it comes up 0 searches, I have tried "6-18500" "70-8371-200" "GP-9" "GP-7" ,Tried L0165, no illustrated parts breakdowns, no spare parts, doesn't show up on e-unit usage chart. A wiring diagram would be helpful to see if it is wired correctly. Is there some part number I am missing.
Any thoughts on these perplexing problems?
