2013 Lionel Prospector train with ptoto 3 sound. New old stock, Won't run.

Hi. New here but loved old trains since I was a kid 50 years ago. Just purchased a new, still in Shipping box , 2013 Lionel Prospector train with sound. So excited to see it run, it does not. The coupler light comes on but engine just buzzes, No headlight or anything else from it. I have taken the motor and board out to check for loose wires and have found nothing loose. I suspect maybe bad super capacitor since it is not getting power to motor but just a guess. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
