For something a little different, and unique. The Krauss-Maffei C-C diesel-hydraulic locomotives used by Southern Pacific and Denver & Rio Grande Western lines. They were built in Germany and were 4,000hp units. They easily pulled trains of 4,000t to 7,000t on 1-in-50 (2 per cent) grads for the D&RGW. Southern Pacific utilized 21 units through 1968 and found them very satisfactory. But, complexity and inaccessible for repair problems, with air intake in tunnels, proved to be their downfall on these railroads. They would be a very nice and interesting motive power for any manufacturer to provide for the O gauge hobby.
I know not very likely but, a Texas class Chicago Great Western steam engine would be nice. They did have 36 of them. Although I would be happy with ANY CGW steam.
love to see the Illinois Central's, "City of New Orleans" - - bright and beautiful
rdeal
Would like to see Christmas Express Lines vista passenger cars to go with the Christmas 4-car O-27 Madison passenger set 33-6265 in the 2015 R-T-R catalog.
I would like to see MTH reproduce NYC's R-32 subway set.
That C-415 and HH660 are really cool looking engines.
D500,
You nailed it! WM I-2 Decapod. How about the WM K-2 Pacific?(a real one exists).
The L&NE F-1 Decapod, basically a copy of the I-2. Except, as you stated, for the smaller tender with it's booster engine.
ALCO diesel's. I love the above suggestions.
We can keep hoping!
Its time to reissue this one...the C&O Greenbrier. The last version was beautifully done as you can see from MrMuffins photo. Unfortunately I missed it. How about adding WHISTLE STEAM effects!!! If not, I will have to have it added after market. This was last done in 2007 and it impossible to find, however I would rather the proto 3.0 version.
How about an SD40-2 with FIXED PILOT!!!! In BN and CSX. If you going to compete with Lionel's SD40-2 you need a fixed pilot version. I ordered two Lionels but would sell them and buy your fixed pilot if you make them since Lionels are not fixed pilot. I know others wanted them as well.
SD60 low hood in FIXED PILOT!!!! CSX, NS, CP, UP. This is Lionel's which is a beauty but needs more detail, the fuel tank is too high and needs full length hand rails with fixed pilot.
If anyone else is interested please say so (second the motion) to help persuade MTH to make them.

Not a big lover of foreign engines but I see this everyday and it is growing on me.
I like this one also, The SP had a few of those.
I like this one also, The SP had a few of those.
SP had 10 of them, but with the tall cab.

John Pignatelli Jr.,
I also like your choice, it grew on me too.

Owner | Road Number(s) | Quantity | Date Built |
---|---|---|---|
Alco (Demo) | 415 | 1 | 1966 |
Chehlais Western Railroad | 684 | 1 | 1968 |

Spokane, Portland & Seattle | 100-101 | 2 | 1968 |

I like the Monongahela Connecting the best of these SP&S in close second This also wore Burlington Northern colors Rock Island had two different paint schemes
I vote for the C&O Greenbrier. I missed the last offering
OK, I'll play:
(1) MTH Premier Boston and Maine/Maine Central/Portland Terminal 44 tonners
(2) MTH Premier Boston and Maine or New Haven Alco HH660 switcher
(3) MTH Premier Maine Central F3s with matching passenger cars
How about scale length Amtrak super liners, and all premier locomotives 2/3 rail, fixed pilot option.
I'd love for MTH to produce the Canadian Pacific Royal Hudson. This is one of my favorite passenger steam locomotives of all time. If not for the 2016 Vol. 1 Catalog, then maybe Vol. 2. But I really want this engine and the matching cars for it. I'm reserving a spot on my roster for this train.
I would also like to add, Scale sized working 1930s to 1950s street lamps and some North American style bridges with matching abutments and piers.
They do not have to be as highly detailed as Atlas.
i want these trains
A Central Vermont RS-11 in green with yellow markings would be nice.
How about some Steelers items - please! ?
Late steam era (1954-1959) N&W CF and/or CG cabin cars (cabooses)!

Its time for Amtrak to build some new single level coaches...or low height bi-level. The Amfleet and even Acela fleet is becoming rattly with plastic panels hanging loose on the ceiling and above the seats. I would think they would have made them more durable to start with.
I would like a Mth RailKing NYC NIAGARA Steam engine !
Then another NYC Hudson to replace my proto 1 version .
a NYC SW1500 would also be nice !
EDIT ! PLEASE DO THE PULLMAN HARRIMAN PALACE CAR ! IN RAILKING SIZE as well !
As one who is becoming more interested in modern tinplate, I would like to see MTH START to offer add-on passenger cars to their Lionel Corporate Tinplate Christmas sets in both the Standard and O gauge lines.
The original offering of the engine with their 2 or 3 car sets have been out for at least 5 years and appear to be sold out. So why can't MTH make one new car add-on each year with a new reindeer name. They put out an attractive modern LCT set and then forget about it to focus on those ugly M&M tinplate cars.
My current Wish List, all Premier:
PRR 2-10-2 N1s
Strasburg RR 2-10-0 #90
Strasburg RR 4-8-0 #475
