So, I bit the bullet and bought it fantastic detail! My question is this I have paired the Loco and the Tender with the sameID# I thought that during crew talk, there was supposed to be coordination. between the two units What I find is a lot of crosstalk/over lap once initiated. Is it best to have separate ID's so that there is a distinction? HMMM

Turn the switches off under tender or make it its own id and build a train
Right But will the CT dialogue as in the loco? Or is it different?
Its either gonna come from engine or tender, unless you want both, then will never match.
Bur they are different sets of dialogue ?
Great saw that But if one of the BIG deals about the Veranda is the bass speaker in the tender, kind of defeats the purpose of running it separate unless you plan in using it with another loco
Yea, it has super engine sounds from the tender too. Those always work, you can have super bass crewtalk, but it's never gonna match the main unit. So If that's your issue I guess ur outta luck

It’s very much what he says. The engine and SuperBass tender crewtalk is the same but is not perfectly synchronized. In fact, I am not sure why Lionel put the crewtalk in SuperBass units (mostly dummy engines and B units) when they’re not synched to the engine - unless you like a kind of echo effect. Turn off crewtalk in the tender via the switches (the Veranda manual shows you how) and you won’t get the annoying overlap. You’ll get the ultra-loud engine sounds from the tender anyway.
EXACLTY my thoughts How hard to sync them? DUH The sound out of the tender is better Might turn off the sound in the loco
Easy to do. Lazy. $1700. Please. Simple to do
