Does anyone know the correct tender that would mate up with a 265E Commodore Vanderbilt locomotive? I happen to get one, with no tender.

My Lionel book shows a 261TX or T which is 8 wheeled, square with a rounded corners and a coal bunker on top. Different than the standard tin square tenders but I think one of tose would work until you found the right one. Good luck. They are nice locos.
Depends on which 265E it is. The Blue Streak version came with the boxier 265T or 265W (with whistle). The earlier black version came with the one mentioned above.
It came with the 265T or 265W tender, in Satin Black, Gunmetal, or Blue which ever is your color. Some very early locos came with the 261T in black, and some very late locos came with the 2224T or 2224W in black. The 265's are easy to find and reasonably priced.
Tin
I have a 251T and looked at it and thought it was similiar to the 265 except a hand rail on the back. same die ?? Wonder why they didn't use a Vandy tender ? To much ?
