Does anyone know if Train World ever made an announcement about a 4th of July sale? I've been searching and haven't found anything?

Yes, Trainworld is running their usual progressive sale that requires you enter a discount code at checkout. Your savings are adjusted by the store when the order is processed, and then shipping is added in at that time too. The website prices do not reflect the discount. The sale is based on Trainworlds "usual" pricing tiers. To a certain extent, the more you buy, the more you save (as you move from one price tier to another). On the flip side however, within a certain price tier, the discount percentage is better at the lower end.
For example, if you spend between $600 and $799.99, you save $75. On $600, the $75 savings represents a 12.5% discount. But at $799.99, the same $75 savings represents only a 9% discount.
If you spend $1,000+, you save $125. And on $1000, the $125 represents a 12.5% discount. But if you spend $1600, the same $125 savings represents only a 7.8% savings.
Bottom line, YMMV. But any sale is usually a good sale. So have fun shopping. They seem to have a good selection of items -- not just leftover stuff.
Their sale runs through July 5th.

Any idea what that discount code is? And if there are any details on the the tiers?
I'm surprised they haven't posted a thread here on the forum, as they usually do. But here's the info from a couple of emails they've sent out in the past couple of days:
