Hi everyone,

I am planning an upgrade to our 4x8 layout.  It will have 2 independent lines, with 3-4 switches per line, a number of lighted buildings, a few crossings & signals, and a few operating accessories.  My son will be running either a Lionel 0-8-0 or the MTH Pacific with Proto 2 that he is getting for his birthday.  I am running mostly a PW Lionel 2025 steamer on my line.  I am also planning on setting up the MTH Pacific with the DCS remote commander for my son.  On this line we will also need to be able to run the conventional Lionel loco.

Here is what I have available for power right now.  We are currently using a Lionel RW 110 watt for my line and a few accessories.  We are using a CW-80 on my son's line that is also powering a few accessories.  I have stored under the table a Lionel 1032 70 watt, and a CW-40.  Also we have the z500 brick that came with the DCS remote commander.

So what would you all recommend out of my available resources?  Should I replace the CW-80 with a z500/750 or 1000 to power the line with the MTH Pacific and the 0-8-0?  Or will the CW-80 work ok as a power source for the DCS remote commander?  Finally, should I add one of the other transformers to power accessories and phase all three?  Thanks for the help and sorry for the long winded post.
