Does anyone know of a replacement switch for this? I find it to be a junk/cheap button arrangement I've gone through two so far. The track is fine, the switch crapola

ADCX Rob just posted a diagram a couple of days ago for using a DPDT MOMENTARY ON Center Off Toggle Switch for a UCS Operating Track. This is also perfect for the 6-12054 Operating Track. The 6-12054 uses color coding... Ground in the diagram is black, Left Control Rail is green, Right Control Rail is blue, and Power is red.
So the switch would be wired like this:
With the switch in the center neither rail is connected. When the switch is momentarily to the left, the Left Control Rail is connected to the ground and the Right Control Rail is connected to the power. This activates unloading. When the switch is momentarily to the right, the Left Control Rail and the Right Control Rail are connected to the power. This activates uncoupling.

thanks. I'm wondering if there is 'plug in' solution to this problem that can just eliminate the cheapo push buttons and tada...im not good at wiring those kind of switches!

No. Unless you're willing to tackle the wiring there's only what you have, or the MTH equivalent, which isn't much different.
