I bought a used operating track section and controller. The wires between the track and controller have been cut. The track has been rewired with color coded telephone wire, however I have no idea which of the 4 black wires on the controller go where. Can someone help me. Apparently the original cable wire on the controller had colored connectors to connect to the track but that is long gone. Thanks a lot!

The owner manual, pages 6 and 7 have a view of the underside of the track with the wiring. It does not however show the internal wiring of the controller. Not sure if the present controller is wired similar to the postwar UCS version, but here is the controller wiring for reference. It will give you a place to start.

Thanks for your help, Larry. Does anyone out there have a controller they could look at and tell me which wire on the controller is red, black, green & blue? Or send a picture. The placement of each color is marked on the operating track, but since all of the controller
wires are black I'm having trouble figuring out which goes where. Thanks a bunch. Lowell
Lowell,
Well, make an assumption. Flatten the controller cable. On page 5, the right most wire is on the Unload side(button) of the controller. Now, look at page 6. Viewing it upside down, that wire would now be on the left most side. That would make it the Black wire. The next wire in would be the green wire. Next would be blue and finally the right most wire, would be red.
I zoomed the manual to make it easier. Test the wiring on the bench, with accessory voltage. You can also make some deductions based upon where the connections are located. The Black is the outside rail common or AC ground, The Green is the Activation rail, the Blue is the uncoupler magnet and the Red is the AC hot.
Does that make sense? Enlarged photos attached.
