Who has refurbished a 6440 passenger car and the 6441 observation? Specifically looking for whatever it was used over the windows and what I can use in place of and the rear window on the observation do this also have the insert over it please let me know.

I’ve used strapping tape for many years to line my windows for this series of cars. It’s available in various widths from the big box stores. I like the look of the lines, reminds me of window blinds. The tape does not stay sticky due to the air so it doesn’t gather dust. Hope this helps.
I like that, I might have to try it, I assume you just did the side windows. And left the entry doors and observation car window alone. For heat to escape?
Yes just the sides, the vestibule ends are still open.
