Hi: If there is no tender present, what details distinquish a Lionel 1950 773 Hudson from its 773 counterpart produced between 1962 and 1964? Thanks for your help. Michael

Lack of valve guides on the steam chest and a larger white 773 on the cab ID's a 1960's version. 1950 models have a silver number and a flatter paint finish. The pickup rollers on the later version are "cut" so they are narrower too, probably so the won't short out on Super "O" switches.
