Last month, October 25 to be exact. I picked a spot at the WMSR's Frostburg Depot to get a few still photos
as 734 pulled into the station. When I heard her pulling up the steep grade, and the show she was putting
on, I had to switch to video. I did not have my tripod, so it may be a little shakey in places.
By the way, that lovely whistle is Kevin Rice's Espee six chime.

Wonderful sound and visuals coming up the hill.
On the old steam powered line I used to run/fire on, if I was doing the firing I would have been reprimanded for having the pops going while entering, and at, the station! Having the pops blowing was a big no-no for the owner of said line, in deference to the passenger's ears.
Talk about pollution! That was beautiful.

I asked the youngster why he used so much coal on the pull. He said he wanted a heavy bed on the grates so if she slipped hard a few times he'd keep his fire.
