Looking to use the Tenergy NiMh 9volt batteries in an older Lionel 2-8-0 instead of a BCR. However the Tenergy is slightly larger and won’t fit in the clip.
Has anyone else had a problem fitting Tenergy 9v NiMh batteries in Lionel? Or MTH?

I've use Tenergy in older MTH engines and had no problem with fitting them in.
FYI Lionel sounds systems that have a 9 Volt battery connector will not recharge the battery but search for the YLB (your last battery) which will recharge from track power. They are available at Hennings Trains. https://hennings-trains.shopli...lsounds-batt-re.html
