What is the best day to go to the bandit meets?  The York TCA Show doesn't interest me that much but the bandit meets do.  Thanks for any info.

Wednesday, I suppose (fairly early).  I don't know how Tuesdays are nowadays since I haven't gone to York on Tuesday in quite some time.  The extra hotel stay and meals, etc., is just not worth it for the bandit meets as they are these days.  Some years ago, things were quite different and the bandit meets were packed on Wednesday and Thursday.

Thanks Allan.  I only live 45 minutes down the road in Baltimore so lodging isn't a factor.

   I think it all varies depending on what you are looking for. The high end "rarities" are usually picked off within the first few hours Monday morning. The dealers and table holders all know that is where the "finds" are and we watch the car trunks open like vultures. 

  The next wave comes tuesday morning, after that the rest is just stuff. Wednesday is when the deals are to be had but it closes early. Usually items can be had at a discount as we are all packing it up to head the the giant fairground flea market. 

  They had a great turn out this year, best i have seen in years. It was nice to see the parking lots full again!
