FOR TODAY:  A morning drive by the team track reveals covered hoppers.  I can only imagine the Boraxo covered hopper holds enough detergent for 25,000 loads of laundry ... lol ! IMG_1570

Wow Patrick'.. Boraxo'... I haven't seen that in years'.. My Mom used  it years and years ago'..... My wife informs me, it is still sold in certain stores'...

As usual, great shot from you'...  BTW.  I received my new set of the brass band from Alan.  They do look much better..

Dick Powell....... right Mark ? 🤔

Dick Powell, I had to think on that.  I remember The Old Ranger and I see Ronald Reagan hosted and acted too.  I looked it up and saw Dick Powell hosted and acted in The Zane Gray Theater and did act in some Death Valley Days episodes.  We didn’t get a television until 1963, but watched at my grandma’s house.  Having grown up on the farm in the 1890s and handled the team pulling the wagon, she liked seeing the horses trot or prance, but didn’t like it when there was a chase pushing the horses.
Well, that got off topic, but the Boraxo car is great!

I would add my 2 cents, but that was before I was born!

But what a great looking Boraxo Hopper!

Robert Nidiffer digs up some ash near the ET&WNC right of way, near the interchange with the main line to Johnson City.

Residents of Stoney Creek often wonder what he does with the buckets of ash he walks off with, but with wartime rationing in effect, it's one of the few things that is easy to obtain...

The monochromatic photo really is amazing Lee . 🤓

I guess it gives me an impression of a real time........kind of like looking at photo albums of my dad or mom from around the WWII era .

You have to Parallel park the Chassis to be stacked to make the Yard mans job easier. Trust me they remember who takes care of them and who just don’t care.

Taking the extra step'.. to help others is first rate... and seldom done these days' You are a true asset  to your company'.. lee, and a class act'..✔👍👌

👍 I was raised the same way'... I think our modeling also shows that extra attention to detail...😁

Lee, thanks for your work ethic's! I remember when I use to load dump trucks some just wouldn't care and thats why they would get dirt or gravel down the side of there bed, others who cared wouldn't get a drop of dirt on there trucks!

Great photo of the Missouri Pacific engine! Heck we just might be in Missouri next spring! Maybe I will be able to see the real thing!
