Because the guy with the yellow hat and the '57 Olds Fiesta wagon is the only person in his extended family with a "wagon," he gets nominated every year to be the family tree pick-up guy...so he's seen often around town this time of year...lol...

Great pictures everyone! I would love to share but I don't think anyone wants to see mud drying on sheetrock, it is kind of like watching paint dry! LOL but the train room is getting closer!

Thanks Dave. I have now found time again to build a new module. Even this module still needs hundreds of parts before it is ready. Nice relaxing thing to do.🤝

One of my earliest Christmas layouts in the house that I just bought. It's a 'U' shape so imagine pasting the 3 pictures together. Sorry about being a bit blurry.

Thanks Mike. It's great to be back. In a way, you are quite right, because during the summer I have to put almost all of the museum railway into operation. Last summer was very busy, including the 150th anniversary celebrations of the Porvoo Railway.

What a great scene Paul.
That lighting is perfect ( not to mention the nice modeling ) sir.

I agree Paul , as much as the " war bonnet " paint scheme has been done over and over since our long ago early years , it's still a thing of beauty to see . 🤓
Seems to me that the Forum has had so many more pics and videos than when I got involved. It is great to enjoy the hobby through the views of all the many member's layouts and projects.

Oh my goodness, when I started all there was to see was Model Railroader magazine and worn out catalogs. No hobby shops out in rural Pennsylvania

Dallas. Thank you very much. Now in winter it's good to relax with the best hobby in the world. I'll try to stay active again at least until the summer.

This is my Christmas layout in my 2nd year in the house that I just bought. I added a 'plateau' into the mix.

I you rotate the following one 90 degrees and picture it connected to the above, you get the full picture.
Here's a slightly better image of the 'plateau'

@carpetrainman - Paul I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed your two pictures with the train aligned down the platform with the platform lights in a row. I especially liked the "Greenbriar" steam picture although the Santa Fe war bonnet was a close second. Great photo's both.

You certainly are back. Looking forward to see progress on this module and to follow construction of the new module. I know you're very busy wit the museum railway during the summer and do not have time for modeling but may be you could share your wonderful photographic talents and post some pictures of the museum railway over on the real trains forum.

Thanks. I try to find time for this relaxing hobby. Museum railway operations still take a lot of time, especially bureaucracy.

Every holiday season the county dept of parks and recreation decorates this historic bridge with lights. The entire community gathers to watch the bridge lighting. The bridge lighting has evolved into a huge annual event with a couple about 1500 plus folks attending. This bridge was a former B&O bridge and is an iron truss bridge patented by Wendal Bollman in the mid 1800. Bollman's iron bridge system is the first iron bridge system to be used by a U.S. railroad. At one time the B&O had about 100 of these bridges throughout its' system. This particular bridge located in Savage, Maryland, my hometown is the sole surviving example of Bollman's invention.
I have a model of it on my layout. I will light it at some point but perhaps not this holiday season.

@Black Rock Railwayway - Nice illustration on what moving a fuselage of a 737 through town. I believe that The Boeing Company already ships large segments of fuselage for some aircraft models via rail. I was told the biggest problem is fixing the bullet holes in the item after it arrives.
Don
Something amiss here? A Boeing 737 is 12 feet 1inch in diameter. In scale there would be quite an overhang on each side of O gauge track. Perhaps the model is semi-scale or Lionel's Traditional Scale?
Nice photo though...
