Ok, I want to remind everyone that I am just getting back into the hobby and my layout is FAR from finished. Still, this was a fun shoot with my iPhone I thought you might enjoy.

Hello Arnold,
I'm curious if you painted the trees in your background? They look great!
Always love your topics!

Thanks, Gerry. Yes, I painted them on the mountain, which I also painted, with acrylic paints.
What is important to know about painting a backdrop is that you can do it even if you have very little artistic talent like me. The key is to try it, and if you don't like it, when it dries paint over it until you like it. I painted those trees over and over at least 10 times until I came up with what I liked. I also like to get feedback from my wife, who has very good taste when it comes to art, music, etc. From my experience, most women have very good taste when it comes to art and music, so it is very helpful to get their feedback. Thanks Arnold, very good advice. My son is a pretty good artist so I may do a combo of utilizing his talents and me trying. Keep your topics coming!
This is an old one. Train carrying a captured V2 rocket 1946 with some armor tanks to be used as targets to White Sands Proving Grounds testing site along with passenger car filled with support personal including engineers and scientist. Captured V2 rockets and parts were moved to testing sites from 45 to 55 as found and shipped to US shores. Approximately 70 V2s were shipped to the site moved by the railroad and then Military flatbeds.
sorry its a little out of focus. My first video made

Yes, I have new LED bulbs (100 watt equivalent) in the dropped ceiling lights in basement play room, and another 100 watt equivalent LED with motion detector in laundery room. So light is substantially brighter than before.
Arnold, I just saw some of your videos. Beautiful! I'm inspired. Jerry

Hey,
What fun.
I started my day with Arnold's videos.
Nothing like the sound of Accessories running and trains rushing by.
Thanks for posting Arnold.

Beautiful...the improved lighting highlights the rich colors. Could you run your PW green GG1 on an upcoming video? I would like to acquire one this year.

Just got home from Trainstock 11 (NJ HiRailers Train Club Forum get together). What an enormous, mind blowing, spectacular O Gauge Club Layout! Forum members should do themselves a favor and see it. And the members of that club are even nicer than the layout.

Just replaced the Suzie Passenger station sounds with Freight. I like Smitty better plus I can now get some real action out of this expensive engine using the PFA feature.
No one has the correct commuter cars or stations on their layout, so what was the point of that?

While I love steam engines, because of when I grew up (1970s and 80s), I really prefer big strong diesels pulling long freight trains like they did through the middle of midtown Sacramento, on my layout. I could hear their horns from my bedroom late at night.
