Hey all! I live in the middle Tennessee area, and I'm wondering what sort of model railroad clubs are active around here. If there are none, I would be interested in starting one if there is enough interest. From what I've been able to find, there are not many local clubs that do O scale, if any at all. The closest one that appears to still be active is the Crossville Model Railroad Club

I did a quick search on google. It appears their is a Central Tennessee Model Railroaders in Cookeville, and Middle Tennessee Model Railroaders. Also from Mr. Muffins (forum sponsor) videos there is a Doctor Jack Fisher in the Nashville area who has a home O gauge plus one he maintains at the Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt per a you tube video provided by Tennessee Crossroads on Nashville PBS. Hopefully these resources will aid in your search.
If you are in the East Tennessee area, please visit the Knoxville Area Model Railroaders O Scale Group who meet in Oak Ridge every Tuesday evening at the Oak Ridge Children's Museum.

That helps a lot, thanks! I live in Nashville myself, I would love to see Fisher's layout sometime.

The model railroad I'm building is in Rockwood, so I can make the trip when I'm close by! Do they do operating sessions every week or occasionally? If so, can we bring our own trains and cars to run on the layout?
