Adding safety chains

Hi guys I have been thinking about adding some safety chains to some tenders and rolling stock. I was wondering how some of you have done it. I really don’t want to alter the finish by sanding or soldering in case they don’t come out good. Maybe a dab of jb weld or another type of epoxy on the frame and truck.?. Don’t know .. let me know how you guys do it

FWIW, lift rings drilled into the truck. J.B. weld lift rings in each truck. Attach chain to each lift ring and to underside of frame.
