I own a Weaver o scale Delaware and Hudson diesel engine. I believe its a Baldwin Shark Nose engine. It just has a horn. I believe it's an older engine maybe from the 80's. My question is could I put rail sounds in it? I don't feel like buying a new engine with sounds as this is in excellent condition and very sharp looking with much power. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Yes, assuming there's sufficient space under the shell, installing The Electric RR Co.'s RailSounds Commander will serve that purpose.
Plenty of room in the Weaver sharks to add the ERR RailSounds Commander in that one. The board is only 1.75" L x 1.25" W x 0.50" H and can be mounted on double-sided sticky foam tape that comes in the package.
A nice speaker that gives you good sound quality comes with the package. This is the speaker, and it comes with a baffle that also can be simply stuck down with the double-sided foam tape.
Thank you so much! May I ask you how will I know which one to order? Also are they hard to install?
for BLW, I use the ALCO c420 sounds to mimic Baldwin sounds. IT's much better than the EMD GP sounds that came with my Weaver models Vo1000.
There are sound clips on the ERR site, just click on the Purchase link and then the RailSounds products. You'll see a link to the sound clip for each board. Pick the one you like the sound of.
They're quite easy to install, if you can solder and do basic wiring, you should have no issues.
