AF Fastrack detailing ideas

Hi guys,

I thought I would open a running thread that we could put photos of weathered or detaied AF Fastrack in. I experimented with some fine Woodland Scenics ballast over the weekend. The results aren't horrible, but I probably wouldn't go this route for the whole layout.

I used normal balasting teqniques to do this. That is Tomalco code 100 in the foreground. It is an industry siding with no roadbed, hence the height difference.

I will be picking up a rail brown paint marker and trying some other ideas soon and I'll post them here. We'll see what works best.
