Always enjoy your MTH Garden One Gauge especially outside. Hope you share more this summer.
Ray.
Joe, I have to tell you after watching your video yesterday, I was sitting out back looking at my hill trying to imagine a train running. Yours really looks nice!
Are your trains track powered or do you use batteries?
Mine are track powered. A lot of guys swear by battery use. I planned to run big trains with a lot of engines for long periods. I thought track power was the way to go when I started.
Now days, the price of this track, vs. the new battery's technology, I might have gone a different way.
Joe, I like how your landscaping and layout fit almost seamlessy together. i particularly like the lip / edge along the fence that makes for a super track bed. Great job! Enjoy.
Really nice looking layout going there Joe! I am really impressed and I'm sure I could watch the trains run for hours...given a beverage, hey, It's hot out here! : )
How far do you think you'll take your Garden Railroading?
I'm almost done. I need to build a few sidings and a yard to add interest for me. It will have car loading and unloading areas. I get bored just running them in circles.
I was surprised when I noticed the grand kids would park a train. They would pretend to be loading and unloading passengers. Their imaginations add play value for them.
....and I didn't need to tell them that they were freight cars!
So I can begin to build the O scale layout soon.
Hey Joe, did you purchase the new ps3 one gauge engines? Looks like few available.
Nice Joe, do you get any slack action? (Get a caboose on that train)
JOE -
TRACK LAYOUT LOOKS GREAT - MUST BE NICE WEATHER IN LEWISTON.

Fantastic video, great yard. Maybe you could pass along some pointers.

Yes, they are on order. For some reason, mine haven't arrived here yet.

There's so much slack action, you could rip some couplers apart. I always start slow!

Yes. It won't last long!

Come into a ton of cash. Become a fool. Loose the cash!
I do get a kick out of guys who swear that their way, is the best to build an outdoor RR. What works down south, won't hold up to our frost heave!
You have to do it all. Structural, drainage, landscaping, etc. etc.
It's a whole other hobby! I'm still learning the hard way.
It is an honor to get all these compliments!
You're having way too much fun, Joe.
