ALCO shells

CALNNCOGR Forum Member SUPPORTING MEMBERDIGITAL SUBSCRIBER

Has anybody tried making a wood die to fit exactly inside an ALCO shell, and using a heat gun to heat the warped area and force it back into shape around the die?

I have considered this, but there are far too many projects that are in line ahead of it. Makes sense to me... a plaster(or similar) form made from a good shell could work as well.
