Going to be traveling through PA and looking for Train Stores that have a pre/postwar Lionel presence along the way.
So far, I am aware of Village Train and Hobby outside of Binghamton - http://www.villagetrain.net/
I am hoping there are others!

Grzyboski's Trains
Scranton Hobby
You should visit Steamtown.
Note: Village Train shop in Windsor, NY with scenery items- not many high end train items.
Scranton Hobby for the latest MTH trains
Steamtown & trolley museum
Gryzbotski's for Lionel items- postwar and modern.
Downtown Reading has Iron Horse Hobby Haus. Reasonable selection of mostly modern offerings, also ho, lots of rc toys, rockets scenery etc. Extra points for being a brick and mortar downtown store. Decent service work. Actually the store I grew up on, although it looked a little different back then.
As already mentioned, Grzyboski Trains in Moosic, PA, and Scranton Hobby in the downtown. Grzyboski has new Lionel at great prices and a large inventory of still-new MPC era stuff. Scranton Hobby has more off-brand O-gauge and carries MTH, Atlas, etc. Neither has much pre/post war aside from the occasional piece. There was a great little post war Lionel shop in Pittston, PA, but the owner passed away a few years ago.
When you are at Scranton Hobby, make sure you stop at Coney Island Lunch next door - a Scranton staple with texas wieners and classics like homemade rice pudding and pie. Steamtown is only a few blocks away and there is no admission fee. In the same parking lot as Steamtown is the Electric City Trolley Museum; excursions run just over an hour and at only $10 for the combined ride and museum admission it's well worth it.
Try to keep in mind and neither Steamtown nor the trolley museum run excursions early in the week, so plan accordingly.
Allentown area is Trains n Lanes, Off of rte 33 between Hecktown road and rte 248 Wilson exit. You might have to blow some dust off boxes.....

And don’t forget, if you have a chance to visit the Trolley Museum, they have the legendary John Oliver Scranton train layout on display.
Don't miss Ye Olde Train Shoppe on Route 100 in Boyertown, PA. Great group of people. Nicholas Smith isn't far away in Broomall in the Philly suburbs.
I will second the mention of Ye Olde Train Shoppe. I service/repair their Lionel, Flyer, Marx. Knowledgeable salespeople, friendly and very negotiable Postwar prices.
Don't forget Henning's in Lansdale, Pa! Not far off the turnmpike, exit 31 or rt 309
