My loot from the Allentown show today: (Sorry, my phone is not that good!)

And, from the farmer's market:

Thank you to those organizing the show!  I could not care less if I left empty handed.  Wonderful to get out and go to a show.  It was packed!

My daughter and I had a wonderful time!

I saw a whole bunch of good stuff at the show - fortunately or unfortunately, I didn’t need much of it.  I did however, walk out with a bag full of items that I had on my list plus a few others which weren’t on the list — and at reasonable prices.  It seemed to me that there was a lot of merchandise going out the door which was a good thing.  And Frank was right in that it was packed.  Many young faces as well.  Like Frank, I really enjoyed being there and talking to several of the folks.

Fun show, boy was it ever packed - like I've never seen it before. My friends and I had early bird entry (8:00AM) tickets and the line was still a block long 10 minutes after the doors opened. At 9:00, when doors opened for general admission, it was shoulder to shoulder (almost).

I picked up a 6464-200 Pennsylvania boxcar that I needed - like new in box (I'm gonna run it anyway, just like I do with all of my other 6464's).

Also picked up an ALCOA covered hopper for a future paint project - complete and not broken in any way - just $5.00! -, a hobo shanty building screaming for paint and detailing, a set of Lionel metal UPS figures for only $10 and some other bits and pieces.

Afterwards a great lunch with 9 friends at a sports bar about 10 miles from the Ag, Center called Copperheads - fun, fun, fun.

York is only 2 months away and between now and then is the METCA show in Queens, NY, a couple shows in East Islip and a show in Lindenhurst (all on LI). A couple Club layout open houses and our monthly train guy (usually 10-12 guys) lunch gatherings will also happen before York. Train season is in full force again - Yea!

I came over right after 8:00AM, and saw the huge line, I think that's about as long a line as I've ever seen there as well.  I think after a couple years of lockdowns, people are eager to get about, a lot of activity for sure!

Fortunately, I was displaying in the back, so I went in the back door, there was a convenient parking place right next to the door.

Got there at 1030 Saturday,  parked way out there.  It stayed packed until around noon.  Picked up a much needed ross turnout plus a few cars for my little ho switching layout.  I wanted to ask the north penn guys if the are planning an open house at the big layout soon but they were working out a power hiccup over a switch.  I have a similar hiccup, how did it turn out?
